Little Splashers (3 months–3 years)

January offer - Little Splashers is just £25 for the month!
As a proud Aqua Sensory accredited swim school, we teach in a way that reflects how little ones naturally learn: through gentle discovery, sensory play, and meaningful connection. This approach helps babies and toddlers build water confidence, coordination and curiosity — in the water and beyond.
Our baby and toddler Little Splashers programme introduces the youngest swimmers to water in a gentle, playful environment. You’ll be in the pool with your child throughout the lesson, guided by an STA-qualified instructor who specialises in early years aquatic development.
What Happens in a Lesson
These sessions focus on water confidence, not swimming technique. Through songs, games, and supported movements, babies and toddlers learn to feel comfortable in water, develop fine and gross motor skills, confidence, emotional connections, and build positive associations with swimming.
Our pool is heated to 32°C—warm enough for even the youngest participants to stay comfortable for the full 30 minutes. The small group size (maximum 4 parent-child pairs) means your instructor can observe each child’s responses and adapt activities to their comfort level.
Building Foundations
Early water exposure helps children develop:
-
Motor skills
-
Confidence
-
Social skills
-
Cognitive Skills
-
Speech and language
-
Emotional development
Many families continue from our baby program into toddler lessons and eventually into our learn-to-swim group classes. Starting early means children transition to independent swimming with less anxiety and more natural water confidence.

When is it safe to take a baby swimming? you may be surprised to know that babies can go swimming from any age, however we recommend consulting your health visitor for advice specific to your little one.
Do I need a special nappy? Swim nappies are required as well as a sealing nappy such as a "happy nappy" in order to prevent accidents in the pool, however these can both be bought at a relatively low cost. PLEASE NOTE: Day today nappies are not suitable for swimming, special swimming nappies are required such as "Pampers swim nappies"
Do I need a wetsuit for my baby? Baby wet suits can be worn if you prefer to use one however as our pool is very warm they are not a necessity if you would rather not use one.
How much do your lessons cost? Our Little Splashers lessons are priced at £44 per month, for one 30-minute lesson per week
Is the class just for parents? Absolutely not. We understand that it's not always possible for parents to take their children swimming themselves. Life as a parent can be hectic enough without finding time for another activity, but we don't want that to get in the way for you. Our lessons are fully inclusive, and we welcome any friends or family who want to help keep little ones swimming.
